Supervises: 3 Departmental Managers and 1 Individual Contributor
Other: Salaried, Full-time, In-person work (not remote)
MIRO Industries is hiring a full-time Operations Manager to work in our Heber City, Utah, office. This position works 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday. The Operations Manager is part of the Leadership Team and reports to the President.

MIRO Industries manufactures and builds supports out of metal and plastic that sit on a rooftop for plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and electrical equipment. The Operations Manager is ultimately responsible for the building and packaging, prep for shipping, and shipping out our products to customers across the country. This work is conducted through several departments, including 3 departments in our shop, along with Logistics and Project Management. The Operations Manager also coordinates with Sales (know what orders are coming in and setting lead time expectations) and Supply Chain (make sure we have what is needed to build product and fulfill orders).
The Operations Manager needs to be a Lean champion, inspiring and motivating employees to fully implement Lean principles.
Operations currently includes 30-35 people, spread out over Assembly, Fabrication, Custom, Logistics, and Project Management departments.
The responsibilities for the Operations Manager include:
- Manage the day-to-day people needs, including coaching, mentoring, and training employees.
- Create and maintain a work environment that is safe and supports learning and growth.
- Coordinate work with the Assembly, Fab, Custom and Logistics department managers.
- Create and set the bar for excellence in the various operation departments, including designing dashboards for success.
- Teach and implement Lean, including audits, standardizing and documenting processes, Lean projects, and eliminating waste.
- Spend approximately 80% of time working with and alongside employees.

What we are looking for in the ideal Operations Manager candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business Management, Supply Chain or similar course of study.
- Deep understanding of Lean.
- Able to build relationships, both within and across teams.
- Track record of getting stuff done – can see a project through to completion, knowing when to delegate, when to collaborate, and what to do yourself.
- Experience managing a team.
- Effective communicator in both group and individual settings.
- Curious mindset.
- Enjoys exchanging ideas and knowledge for the betterment of all people and processes at MIRO.

MIRO Industries is hiring a full-time Custom Supports Builder, in our new Heber City, Utah, warehouse. This position works 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, during the day. You get a set schedule, keeping your nights and weekends free, and holidays off!
Pay starts at $17.00 per hour. As a full-time MIRO employee, you are eligible for our comprehensive benefit package, including 100%-company-paid health insurance, health savings account with a generous company contribution, paid holidays, paid time off, 401(k) with employer match, long-term disability and life insurance, quarterly profit sharing, and a great work culture!
As a Builder in MIRO’s Custom department, you are part of a team that builds and assembles custom roof supports. This process includes reading a blueprint, using a saw to cut metal struts to the appropriate lengths, using power tools to build from metal the supports that are up to 10 feet long and weigh up to 80 lbs. each. After the supports are built, they are broken down and properly packaged, wrapped, palleted, and labeled in order to ship the job to the customer.
You will receive on-the-job training on how to interpret and apply blueprints, build jobs, and how to pack and ship jobs according to MIRO’s specifications.
A Custom Support Builder needs to be:
- Willing and able to work in teams, or work individually, as project dictates
- Willing to be crossed-trained in various warehouse roles,
- Flexible (work assignments may change frequently),
- Willing to drive a forklift (we’ll train you),
- Comfortable on feet all day on a concrete floor,
- Lift 50 – 60 lbs. continuously throughout the day,
- Be tolerant of temperature swings.
MIRO places high priority on safety and lean production and each Custom Support Builder is expected to be fully engaged with implementing safe practices and helping the warehouse reach its lean (also called 5S) goals. MIRO will provide lean training.

Pay starts at $17.00 per hour.
