FABRICATOR

MIRO Industries is hiring a full-time Fabricator, in our Heber City, Utah, warehouse. This position works 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday. There are two different shift possibilities: one is the day shift, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; the other is the swing shift, working 2:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. You get a set schedule, keeping your weekends free and holidays off!

Pay starts at $18 per hour, depending on experience. If hired as a Fabricator, you will receive on-the-job training reading blueprints in order to fabricate the metal products needed for production in our warehouse. MIRO places high priority on safety and lean and 5S practices and this position is expected to be fully engaged with implementing safe practices and helping the warehouse reach its goals.

A Fabricator’s responsibilities include:

  • MIG Welding, grinding, finishing,
  • Operating the bandsaw,
  • Operating the hydraulic press brake,
  • And other duties as needed and directed by manager.

Qualifications:

  • Fabrication skills, including the use of a level, square, tape measure,
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division,
  • Prior experience preferred, not required.

Requirements for a Fabricator:

  • At least 18 years old (it’s a state requirement for using power tools),
  • Willing to learn and willing to make suggestions for improvement,
  • Able to be on feet all day on a concrete floor,
  • Able to lift 40 – 45 lbs. several times a day,
  • Tolerant of temperature swings (the warehouse is warm in summer and cool in winter),
  • Keep work area clean, neat, and organized according to Lean principles.

CIVIL ENGINEER, P.E.

MIRO Industries, Inc. seeks a licensed Civil Engineer. This is a full-time, salaried position, working Monday – Friday in our brand-new Suwanee, GA, office. Starting base pay is $95,000 – $125,000.

MIRO Industries designs, engineers, and manufactures rooftop support systems. Located in Utah since 1982, we have expanded to the East Coast to better serve our customers. Our new warehouse/office is in Suwanee, GA!

As a Civil Engineer at MIRO, you need to know wind and seismic codes and how to apply them to structures and structural elements. Just as important, you need to be someone who sees a problem as an opportunity, knows how to see a project through to completion, whose vision is not limited by constraints of a job description, and understands that satisfied customers are the reason why our company is growing. The right Civil Engineer has both the skill set to be a trusted expert along with the mindset that allows them to work with others in collaborative, productive ways.

If you are hired as our Civil Engineer, you will work closely with our Sales team, R&D team, designers, and our manufacturing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Design rooftop equipment supports and crossover structures to meet code-required loading conditions, while developing creative solutions for specific job challenges
  • Create detailed fabrication drawings and submittal packages to be stamped in house or reviewed and sealed by third party
  • Work with sales team and customers as needed
  • Travel 3 -4 times a year to perform take-offs or inspections at customers’ locations
  • Present educational courses to engineers and architects to increase amount of being included in specs

Qualifications:

  • Licensed PE
  • Knowledge and use of ASCE 7 with using wind loads, seismic loads, and snow loads
  • Advanced knowledge of Auto Desk products, including AutoCad; Revit and Autodesk Inventor a plus
  • Ability to write and edit advanced formulas in Excel
  • Experience with structural design software, experience using RISA 3-D a plus
