MIRO Industries and the Neider family recently announced the recipient of the Rosemary Neider Service Award. This scholarship was established in honor of Rosemary Neider, a long-time Murray resident, who passed away in January 2015. The purpose of this award is to recognize a student with a distinguished record of community involvement and a strong desire to continue to learn through service. The winning Applicant has been involved in the community beyond normal requirements and shown a commitment that exhibits initiative and leadership. Other requirements for the service award:
- Have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
- Submit an essay explaining type of service performed, benefiting party and number of service hours rendered.
- Display exemplary character traits and virtues.
