 "28 Years" Contest Winners Announced

MIRO would like to congratulate the five winners from our "28 Years" contest recently held.

MIRO asked for submittals from our representatives and customers to recognize those who have worked hard to specify, promote, and purchase MIRO products over the years.

Being in business for 28 years is a wonderful feeling and we know that it has a lot to do with our customers taking time to understand the benefits of our product line and then continuing to use them throughout the years.

Thank you for your years of customer loyalty!

See our five winners below:

Category: Specifier

Name: Tom Di Pietro

Company: Syska Hennesy Group

"The firm's name is Syska Hennesy Group and they are a very large engineering and design firm in New York City. They specify nothing but MIRO for rooftop support systems and in fact will allow nothing else on their projects. The gentleman whom is probably most responsible for this is Tom Di Pietro and after demonstrating the product personally (as well as a few lunches and golf outings) years ago, a 3-R-4 sits proudly and prominently on his desk so that all his department see and utilize the same on every single project that their MEP department designs," stated Marco Barbera with Woods & Jaye Sales Co.

Category: Contractor

Name: Ron Koch

Company: KRK Mechanical

"We would like to nominate Ron Koch of KRK Mechanical as being a contractor who consistently supports MIRO and will go the extra step to put MIRO products on any project that he is working on.  Ron has been a big supporter of MIRO and All Weather Products for many years, and we truly appreciate his support and loyalty as a MIRO customer," stated Fred Creed with All Weather Products.

Category: Distributor

Name: Larry Bolton

Company: Coburns

"I have an excellent inside commercial salesman at Coburn's in Shreveport, Louisiana. He has been a big push for our success in the North Louisiana market. Not only has he gone after plumbing & mechanical industry, but has also pursued the electrical field as well. He truly believes in the MIRO product line and I've personally seen him push our products at every opportunity. I think he would be an excellent recipient of your appreciation," stated Clint Cary with A.H. Deveney.

Category: Representative

Name: Donna Adams

Company: Repco Sales of Georgia

"I have been working with Donna Adams of Repco Sales for a couple of years now and I have been extremely pleased with her service.  Unlike many other vendors, I feel like I have a personal connection with Donna due to her outgoing and friendly personality.  Donna is always very respectful, professional, helpful, friendly, caring and the list goes on and on.  I always know that when I call and ask for Donna I will not be on hold for long (if at all) and she will get me the answers I need right away without having to call me back or put me on hold.  In our fast paced industry it often times is frustrating and difficult having to wait on quotes and prices and it is good to know I don't have to wait with Donna.  The product knowledge and ability to make things happen is what puts Donna above the rest!  Because of Donna, Repco is one of the few vendors whose phone number I have memorized," stated Reed Dunkin with Ferguson Enterprises

Category: Representative

Name: Tom Knight

Company: Steve Mechler & Associates

"Even in this tough economy Tom is able to sell MIRO. He will not waiver from specs, nor will he ever allow anyone. If Tom has a job where and 8-H is necessary, and a customer wants to use a 6-H in its place because of the price, Tom has a way of convincing the customer to use what is necessary, even if it means a higher price. Tom is very much like a partner of MIRO," stated Gary Fredrickson with MIRO Industries.

MIRO Industries Announces New Division
That WillIntroduce Economical Commercial
Rooftop Support Product

New, innovative, economical rooftop sleeper support products to provide support for conduit and condensate on commercial rooftops.

Salt Lake City, UT June 18, 2009 -- MIRO Industries, the leader in Rooptop support products announced a new division today that will concentrate on innovative, economical rooftop sleeper support products to provide support for conduit and condensate on commercial rooftops. The new division will be called Rooftop Sleeper Support, Inc. and will be a viable alternative to wood products that are often fabricated on the commercial roofing job site. The initial Rooftop Sleeper Support product, RSS4, is made out of recycled PVC material and unlike wood products will not decay or rot over time, which can create failure in the support of conduit as well as damage to the commercial roof membrane. Made in the U.S.A., the RSS4 sleeper support comes in a white color to match the trend in commercial roofing to energy efficient white reflective roofs that reduce building energy consumption and decrease the effects of urban heat islands and air pollution.

"We surveyed contractors around the Country and found they were looking for an inexpensive, viable alternative to wood that would offer safe and reliable rooftop conduit support," said Nate Sargent, President of MIRO Industries and Rooftop Sleeper Support, Inc. "In addition to superior features and benefits of the sleeper support product, contractors and their crews will benefit from the lightweight design in transporting and installing the support system at each job site," added Sargent. For more information on the Rooftop Sleeper Support product visit www.rooftopsleepersupport.com or call 801-975-8885.

About MIRO:
MIRO Industries, Inc., pre-manufactures solutions for supporting rooftop pipe, conduit, duct, cable trays, walkways, crossovers and mechanical units that prevent damage to the roof membrane and effectively support a variety of loads and sizes.

MIRO Industries, Inc. introduces a new series of sturdy duct supports that are not only adjustable in height, but also in width. This new design is the only product in the industry that allows the contractor easy width adjustment while installing the duct support on the rooftop.

Within this new pre-assembled duct support line, the 4-DSA 12 x 12 and 4-DSA 18 x 18 allow a more cost competitive support for smaller duct and cable trays while continuing to maintain the quality that MIRO offers. These two products are stock products and are available only as kits.

The new 6-DSA and 8-DSA continue to be a custom product, but now allow for width adjustment on the jobsite.

“We are excited about this new product line” Said Nate Sargent, President of MIRO Industries, Inc. “I feel it is important as a company to stay innovative and continue to develop products to meet the consumer’s needs and this product line does just that.”

The new models are as follows:
4-DSA 12 x 12: Adjustable up to 12” high and 12” wide, maximum load weight not to exceed 50 lbs per support or 10” spiral duct, available only as a kit.
4-DSA 18 x 18: Adjustable up to 18” high and 18” wide, maximum load weight not to exceed 100 lbs per support or 16” spiral duct, available only as a kit.
6-DSA: Adjustable between 18” to 30” wide, maximum weight not to exceed 150 lbs. per support or 20” spiral duct.
